AAML & AFCC write a letter to coparents about COVID-19

Divorced or separated parents often have to address issues related to their children, but the COVID-19 pandemic has created an unusual situation with regards to visitation. Over the past several weeks, we have received a number of calls about whether or not visitation should continue until the current circumstances have been resolved. The AAML (American Association of Matrimonial Lawyers) and AFCC (Association of Family and Conciliation Courts) are two well respected organizations that deal with divorce and coparenting issues and they have recently published a letter addressing these concerns. While the guidelines are specific to the COVID-19 crisis, they can also be applied to other questions related to visitation.
